Lean Applies to Any Kind of Business.

Most people associate "Lean" with manufacturing but "Lean" relates to any business or activity that contains waste or non-value added activities. "Lean" has been successfully implemented and become part of the business culture in Service based businesses, Sales, Building and Construction, Banking, Government Operation (Seems hard to believe!)  Healthcare, Engineering disciplines, Operations, Math and Science fields, Insurance, Police and Firefighting, Airlines and Airport Operation, Research and Development, Innovation and Investigations, Oil and Gas, Coal, and Mineral  exploration and Processing, and on and on and on!

Even Our Households are Candidates for "Lean" Improvements!

The culture of Continuous Improvement began with high volume manufacturing industries but as the techniques and philosophy improved, the concepts of the Toyota Production System were tried and perfected in every imaginable business. Once the different forms of waste were understood, it was obvious that these wastes were prevalent in every activity, in everyone's workspace! Since TIME is the most important  element of a task, every job that reduces the time needed to complete its task is an improvement; so now we connote reduced task time with Continuous Improvement.

Waste is Waste!

Lean works equally well with low volume as well as high volume; high product mix versus low product mix. In non-manufacturing venues, the same wastes are prevalent, just in different forms. Time wasted in any venue is a waste, so the reduction in time needed to complete a task is applicable to every job everywhere!

Flow the Process

Every task has a flow; a way of attaining an end result, a deliverable. When we flow a process, that is show every possible scenario that may happen when a task is attempted, we see the flaws and redundancies within a task. When actual times are assigned to each element of a task we can measure the time needed to complete the deliverables of a process. These are the same wastes that we use to measure manufacturing efficiency and effect. Waste is waste, no matter what the form. Waste is everywhere!

What are your Wastes?

Let Kaizen Sensei help you determine what and where your wastes lie. Lets us team with your people to uncover what is needed to make your business "LEAN" by reducing non-value added activities and reduce the time needed to satisfy your customers. We will do an assessment and compare the results to your Strategic Plan to see what is needed to accomplish the goals and  objectives of your company. This will allow us to devise a plan that addresses the appropriate activity with the appropriate tool and training, getting results in the quickest time possible. We know priorities!

Let us show you how to permenantly change your culture to one of

Continuous Improvement;

"By the People, For the People, With the People"

and eliminate the possibility of regression!
